Anw i attended a 2-day Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) course over at IMRE just a few days ago, so I'm not entirely slacking away! Wah it has been a long time since I have to sit down, listen (or pretend to), and take down notes! And it is very amusing that a simle course like this actually spanned 2 days haha. And there's actually an EHS test next tuesday yikes! where if I get more than 8 (out of 60) wrong, I fail. And there are 3 stacks of notes to study! Waaah. Since when do we have to take safety courses and tests? (the correct answer is, since some lab worker got infected with SARS while researching the virus a few years back). Their demerit system is cool though. A single offence will give 7 or 10 demerit points, depending on how severe it is. And if you get 20 demerit points (two offences ONLY), you get to do a 10 min safety presentation to your department. 40 points and you get suspended and you've to conduct the 2-day course! And the scary thing is, it's pretty easy to get combo points. Like. IF i step out of the lab with my lab coat cos i just have to transport something to a neighbouring lab, but i carried the flask of chemicals without gloves/spill tray, and i forgot to label it, that's probaby nearly 30 points already and i get to do a presentation! *gulp* if if if.
And I have no idea how much of this I can reveal actually, since they made me sign a contract that bars me from divulging confidential information. Heh this probably isn't confidential. Right? Oh and for those who still don't know, I got my attachment! 300/month, for a period of 2 months, starting 1st feb (next thu) I'm content =D I just hope i don't have to do a presentation or worse, conduct the course!
Anyway, besides that, I really have nothing going on with my life! I've just become addicted (again) to fanfiction, so i've just been crawling around all the different sections there and reading my fill haha. A satisfying, but totally terrible way of spending my time. I keep telling myself there's lots of important things to do, such as practising my pieces, reading imre stuff and studying for the safety test, preparing scholarship apps (OMG is it true that results are out in mid-end feb?), reading newspapers, tidying my room, preparing for tuition, exercising, but my body won't listen! So i just sit stuck at my computer chair reading all those delightful fanfics and wasting my time. ARGH. pull me away from fanfiction.net! And when I'm not there, Im at other terrible sites, like youtube or wikipedia, or watching tv.

Each player of this game starts off with 10 weird things/habits/little known facts about yourself. People who get tagged need to write a blog of their own 10 weird habits/things/little known facts as well as state this rule clearly. At the end you need to choose 10 people to be tagged and list their names. No tagbacks.
1. My favourite drink is warm water.as in. warm PLAIN water.
2. Everytime i drink water (esp warm water), I'll take a big gulp, then swish it around my mouth in a gentle gargle, before letting some of it down my throat every few seconds. So one gulp of water can stay in my mouth for quite a few seconds. And when i'm at home, i drink water almost all the time, so there's always water in my mouth.
3. I have this thing against the play count in my music player, cos i feel that it's unfair to other songs. So i always stop the song before it finishes, so that the play count won't increase.
4. I am obsessed with blankets. Even if it's too hot for blankets, I'll just increase the fan's power and continue sleeping with it
5. I can sit and stone for hours without feeling bored.
6. I like making lists and crossing things out one by one. In fact, sometimes i cheat and cross things off even if they're not completely done, just to get a sense of satisfaction.
7. I obsess over my weight everyday, yet i can never keep a diet
8. I have a love/hate relationship with my hair
9. Whenever i eat multi-coloured stuff (like m&ms or trix cornflakes), i find out how many complete sets of colours there are and only eat the complete sets in the end.
10. i love little boys (but everyone knows that)
I tag the only lj ppl i know who haven't been tagged already:

I did something very loser today. While at harmoc lunch today, I was talking to some people, and accidentally knocked my knife. So it dropped onto my lap, and bounced up vertically. Guess what? IT PIERCED THE BASE OF MY THUMB! -_-" How much more loser can i get man. Thank goodness it isn't very deep. Imagine if its a sharper and larger knive, and it sliced off my thumb. Eek.
Anyway after harmoc lunch we went settlers' cafe! and they intro-ed a pretty fun game. It's called family business. So you own a family of 9 mobsters, and you have 5 cards in your hand. Some are contract cards, where you can put other mobsters on the hit list, some are counter cards where you can save whichever mobster you want, some are super powerful cards, like the put two of the hit list, kill 2 every turn, kill all the mobsters on the hit list. Once there are 6 mobsters in the hit list, the mob war begins, and one mobster dies every turn (unless you have power cards of course)
The fun thing about this game is the alliances and backstabbing that occurs throughout the game! 6 player game right. And its quite tiring if you just keep on targetting ppl without a definite plan. So we started forming alliances! first francis, geoff & i and mj&yt formed an alliance to kill of my, gy and jean&janice. and once only one of the unallied 3 were left, francis and us turned against mj&yt! francis being the instigator. haha. I always wanted to play this kind of game. Cos it's not just your cards that matters, it's what's going on outside the cards too! (if that makes sense). Totally unlike other games, where alliances aren't really possible, and you're on your own. You have to be cunning too! the sad thing is that the planning isn't really secret. Actually if there was enough time I wanted to try being a double agent. Haha.
And i found ppl who read death note manga at harmoc lunch too! Yea! someone who agreed with me on the ending of the movie. YAY!
Haha. I'll see how long it takes for people to find this, or how long it takes for me to crack and start telling ppl about this. Whichever happens first.

Anyway i really miss the old days.. Yeah school sucks, tutorials and lectures and long days suck. But at least then we have cheap transport and a purpose to our lives! I feel like I'm just drifting in and out of each day now. I'm running out of stuff to do, and am yet reluctant to do the things that matter, like reading up for interview and tuition, really practising piano (instead of the random sight-reading I do), preparing for my attachment and reading up on all those horrible cheem stuff, tidying up my room... At least in school I feel compelled to do important stuff, since if I dont, I'll fall behind. And there are people around me (like pinky) to inspire me to do important stuff! And I miss all my schoolmates. It's different, not seeing yall every day anymore. =( On a more positive note, it rocks that I don't have to mug anymore, for the next half of the year, at least. And school can be rather dreary sometimes!
And I seem to be finally getting on with life. Got a first tuition assignment from my piano teacher and also an imre attachment that's probably starting in feb! And I'm actively seeking tuition =) Exercising (if just to get out of paying bus fare). Eating choc and not feeling guilty over it!
